My thanks to everyone who helped makes our annual Presidents Day BBQ another outstanding success. I received many congratulations on the evening, the whole day and the progress of our club from our Vice Presidents, players and supporters and I wish to pass those on to everyone who helped organise this years event.
My thanks to Charlie and Pete for tidying up our playing area and for putting up the gazebo and especially to Pete for providing Charlie and I with a moment of comedy gold as he attempted to volley a pine cone.
To Phil for making some superb rice dishes of which the mushroom one was most popular and for all the help on the evening .
To Terry and Suzanne for their hospitality during the game against Barton Seagrave and those lovely rice crackers.
To Cogenhoe United Football Club for the use of their clubhouse , BBQ and oven and apologies to Sue and Tracey for my placing of ribs in foil trays directly over the flames at the bottom of the oven. Last but definitely not least to Paul Knight chef, cleaner , washer up you name it Paul did it all on the night so that everyone else could relax and have a lovely evening. Paul never stopped and I hope all you player buy him a beer next time you see him.
