This week the U11s travelled to Wellingborough School to take on the Old Wellingburians and the U13s hosted the Northampton Saints.

The U11s lost the toss and were put into field; the OW’s got off to a good start and looked in a strong position after the first partnership. However a run out to Josh Bastow and wickets to Captain Joseph Barbara and Alex Towler pegged the OW’s back. But the OW’s recovered to a competitive net score of 298.

In reply, the opening pair of Joseph Barbara and Josh Bastow good Cogenhoe off to a solid start, the second partnership between Jack Buswell, Rey Ahmed and Harvey Reynolds helped Cogenhoe but the loss of wickets meant that Cogenhoe could only post a net score of 212.

The U11s later took part in the first inter-club double wicket tournament. This was won by Jack Buswell and Josh Bastow with Ray Ahmed and Chris Alvis finishing in a very close second place.

The U13s also lost the toss and were put into field in a 16 over game. However two early wickets from Captain Tom Robinson put Cogenhoe on top and with run outs from Tom Robinson and Josh Bastow the Saints were struggling at 53-4. The Saints then started to recover but wickets to Kieran Davies and Alex Towler restricted the Saints to 99-7 in their 16 overs.
