Down came the rain, thunder and lightening!

With the weather forecast predicting storms and devastation the Cooks travelled with trepidation to Gumley. Mark lost the toss and the opposition batsmen were soon on the offensive . With an hour played and the weather closing in, the Cooks deservedly took their first wicket.  Before the new batsman could face the strike, steadier rain forced the umpires to call a truce on proceedings.

After almost an hour delay, the players made it back to the middle for a brief spell of play before a ferocious thunderstorm ensured that this game would be abandoned as a no result, shortly before 4pm.
